OETC 23: Celebrating the Past; Creating the Future!

The Ohio Department of Education’s Ohio Educational Technology Conference is February 14 through 16th 2023 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center

The Ohio Educational Technology Conference (OETC) is the one of the premier P-20 state educational technology conferences in the country. Each year, more than 4,500 educational technology professionals and enthusiasts come together to explore the forefront of P-20 learning and innovation in Ohio.

The CSTA Ohio is looking to have a Computer Science thread or day at the conference. More information will be shared at the membership meeting next month.

In the meantime, OETC is now accepting session proposals! If you are planning on submitting a CSEd-themed session proposal, please email the Board at board@cstaohio.com so we can let the OETC organizers know.

Computer Science Education Week 2022!

Computer Science Education Week is December 5-11

 

CSEdWeek is an annual call to action to inspire K-12 students to learn computer science, advocate for equity in computer science education, and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers, and partners to the field.

 

In anticipation of CSEdWeek 2022 Preview you can join CSTA for the CSTA Engage Meetup on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. CT to connect with and learn alongside other K-12 CS teachers. We’ll host a jam-packed hour and a half, worth every minute of your midweek evening.

You will hear an overview of all of the resources that have been created for this year's CSEdWeek. You'll be able to spend time in breakouts with fellow teachers planning how you can use the CSEdWeek resources in your classroom!

 

  • Welcome & Overview 5:30 - 5:40 p.m. CT

  • Networking 5:40 - 5:50 p.m. CT

  • CSEd Week Resources Showcase 5:50 - 6:15 p.m. CT

  • Unconference/BoF Sessions 6:15 - 6:50 p.m. CT
